The Designer
I’m Valerie Metrejean Woerner, an event planner, avid reader, lover of all things pretty AND realistic. Southern Fete Creative, formerly known as Butterscotch Press, began in 2008 with my good buddy Tyler, and a passion to bring clients custom and modern designs no matter what the budget. In Sept. 2010, Tyler and I embarked on a new venture: MARRIAGE! : ) I got to marry my best friend and design something just for the two of us. I’m so thankful for the opportunity I get everyday to create invitations for brides just like me.
As a wedding planner, I am constantly working with brides to create affordable weddings without sacrificing style. Why should their invitations be any different? I graduated in journalism and had a lot of experience with designing for newspapers and magazines so I knew creating what these girls wanted was possible. With our new collection, our aim is for brides to find one invitation that makes them say “I couldn’t put into words what I wanted, but this is IT!”
